Assigning an agent
Turn this on if you want this agent to look after the property once a tenant moves in: record and confirm rent, send reminders, handle repairs, renew the tenancy and end it. You can change this at any time.
When you assign a property to an agent, they work on it for you, and you can see everything they do.
Every agent you assign can edit and publish the listing, reply to people who message about it, share the street address with someone after a viewing, review applications and offers, send the tenancy agreement and payment details to the tenant you approve, and take a sale through to completion.
With full management, they can also record the rent your tenant pays, confirm payments your tenant reports, send rent reminders, handle repair requests, renew the tenancy or change its terms, and end it.
When it is off, you or your team do those. The agent can still see the tenancy but cannot change it. A repair request you assign to the agent yourself is still theirs to handle.
Nothing changes for your tenant. They pay, report payments and send repair requests the same way. The setting only decides who on your side answers.
Turn it on or off at any time from the property's Agents section, and the agent is told each time. To stop working with an agent on a property, end the assignment.
